Reading at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia

The College of Physicians of Philadelphia -- founded in 1787 and rightly called "the birthplace of American medicine" - is home to the Mutter Museum, a collection of anatomic specimens and medical instruments, and has as its mission to advance the cause of health while upholding the ideals of medicine. It supports numerous lectures and educational events, including the Medicine and the Arts Series.

The reading and discussion of Open Wound is sponsored by the Section on Medicine & the Arts. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Headhouse Books - an awesome Philadelphia independent bookstore.
